Sands of the Hourglass Zine
Sands of the Hourglass is the first Yumeship Dark organized zine! Anyone could apply and create about underaged blorbos or with underage Self inserts as long as you yourself are 18. We got a cool group who created for a bunch of different fandoms. It's free and it's here! I participated in it and I made some digital merch. I'm going to make promo posts about it (and we'll see how that goes since social media can be so weird about underage nsfw) but you can find the zine here!
If you're like "ahh I really wanted to participate in the zine but I missed it" don't worry! I'm planning on hosting a zine next year. Next year it's going to be toxic and dark yumeship relationship zine so look out for that.
And if you're like, "gah I really wanted to create underaged fiction now" well if you do please still make it and share it and @ our socials because I want to see it. I had always wanted to start making zines for this server and I love seeing people share their creations and talk about their blorbos. But it's also for Self serving reasons because I have lots of underaged yumeships and I also love talking about them and creating for them.
It felt fitting at the time because our tumblr got suspended over underage yumeship blorbo text posts and so often I hear people complaining that you can't have underage f/os or like underage fiction and its just exhausting sometimes. Hence this zine to spread some positivity in the world ⌛️✨️
The Second annual Yume Self Insert After Dark Digital Secret Santa Event is happening!
It's gonna be pretty causal and chill hopefully this year as well! It is the second one hosted!
Requirements Minimum word count is 800 words Minimum for art is a colored sketch.
Rules and things of note Please make sure not to include your giftees dislikes and dnws.
It is a Secret Santa exchange but gifts don't have to be holiday themed.
All rpf ships must be 18+ and famous in their own rights.
You're welcome to make multiple gifts but only one is required. If you have to drop please let us know as soon as possible.
I'll try to match people by creation preferences, shared fandoms and shared liked characters, kinks and tropes.
There will be a space to specify what characters you're not interested in creating for.
Make sure not to discuss your gift so it can be a surprise

Mod Soap Box Okay so we made it through the month and onto the Zine Release! If I could do it all over again I would have just did a newsletter update earlier this month and then shared this now but it's fine This month was 3 seconds long and I did not rest for a single second of it. I will rest in January. Maybe November but definitely not now. But that's OK I mean if I'm half asleep it's more likely to yume dream. I don't remember what I was complaining about last month I was think I was rambling about my f/os being teachers maybe it was ranting about being able to enjoy underage fiction. I don't know I can't double check we can't afford to look back anymore lol I have to keep moving forward. Sands of the Hourglass isn't the first zine I formatted or contributed to its not the most perverted dead dove freaky zine I've been in but it is the most unhinged yumeship zine I've been a part of. As you might know from past newsletters and listening to me complain just in general I don't have a lot of time to create stuff these days. So it was nice to budget time for something and finish it in a timely manner which I'm always more likely to do when I'm working with other people. Because there were other contributors I had to get it done and I'm glad I was able to.
Whenever I talk about my f/os I sound like a sleazy pervert which is fine everyone's got there thing. Some people are like making cute wedding invitations with themselves and their f/o and celebrating anniversaries and talking about fluffy day dreams and I'm out here like here's the x reader fic based on the dream I had where I'm my underaged f/os teacher and we have sex. And actually the student teacher part wasn't even part of my dream but I had to write what my dreams might have been while awake.
Days after I finished formatting but right before the zine release it was Kei Tsukishima Haikyuu's birthday (f/o I wrote a fic about who would NOT appreciate what I wrote about him btw) and since Haikyuu takes place during a set time period and everything he has a birth year and I thought to myself well your f/o technically is not under age if you look at it like that but it's all shapes and numbers and I want him to be 16 in my fic. It also probably adds to my sleazyness that I barely promoted it because it's not like I want to get reported so its all vague and cryptic like "ooohh there's a zine no I can't say too much about what it's about" and hope for the best. Social media, discord, companies, it's all a mess when you're just trying to enjoy and promote fiction you're creating. But no matter what I'll get pervert yumeship and fluffy sfw yumeship and everything in between to y'all somehow.
I think I got kind of philosophical planning out this zine out. It was all about time and long held f/os and mortality and the future and sharing that with other people. Though I was too busy lewding blorbos in my art to really talk much about thay. And because it was something I'd wanted to always do and I used some of my spite from our first tumblr being banned because if someone reporting the underage nsfw labeled text posts I thought were allowed (which I posted the zine on tumblr because what are they going to do, ban me?? that already happened I don't care anymore I'll make a new tumblr if it does again) So it was cathartic in a way. I looked up a bunch of clocks for reference I was going to use stock pictures but I couldn't find ones I liked the vibe of. And I kept thinking of the it's time to stop memes which gave me the motivation to keep going ironically and then kept thinking no one knows I'm drawing all these clocks for the underage blorbo.
I've said it before but next year I want to do toxic yumeship dynamics and dark romance. My spite comes out again because the person who got our tumblr banned commented on a yumeship straw page suggestion post (that I still have saved) saying that it's horrible to enjoy fiction where you're being kidnapped. And I can always understand not enjoying something and wanting to avoid it, like lolisho, underage, kidnapping, yanderes, abuse. But when stuff is fictional I feel that you should curate your space and enjoy what you want. Which is why I could never do stuff purely for spite and evil like that anon is gone and out of my mind I didn't like the tumblr getting suspended but I want to enjoy fiction how I want. Which means organizing zines forever and writing about underage twincest and being locked in a basement or whatever.
So yeah I'm looking forward to the future after reflecting on my past and am glad to have published the zine in the present. Though I shouldn't look too far off into the future I have to get through the rest of the day and then October. I'm (hopefully) almost done with my behind the scenes work to make fandom stuff a little easier.
