As some of you have heard, the San Mateo County DA’s office made it public that they will not press charges against the 19-year old driver. As far as we know, she still has a valid driver's license and can legally drive. We were recently informed that the Burlingame Police Department has not reported the incident to the DMV “because it is not required to do so.”
We are working with our attorneys and experts to uncover all responsible parties, hold them accountable, and prevent similar events from happening to other families. We need presence of accountability and corrective justice for ourselves, for each other, and for our future generations.
