Alas, I admit it: I am a sucker for songs with cheerful instrumentation and lyrics that are, on closer listening, pretty sad. Hence the my persistent-post-adolescence affection for The Smiths and perhaps a large part of why I like xmas music. This song fits right my preferences nicely.
