Hi! I know I just emailed you, but I did a thing and I want to share it.

The Santayana Project is an art installation, of sorts. Every day, the site displays a new quote from one of the five volumes of George Santayana's The Life of Reason (published between 1905 and 1908).

Santayana was a philosopher who delved into reason and intelligence in the context of what humanity actually is.

The interesting thing, at least to me, is that the quote is selected by an AI - an AI that’s been instructed to find a sentence or phrase that reflects the state of the narrative about AI.

I’ll eventually figure out how to make the social media work, and there will be a way to buy posters. But for now, it’s just quietly reading to itself.
