Coverage in the Cascadia Daily News and general updates

First... Woohoo! We made it to a reasonable sized newspaper:

Check it out for yourself us in the Cascadia Daily News:

https://www.cascadiadaily.com/2025/aug/04/you-might-live-in-a-public-hospital-district-what-does-that-mean/

It describes and quotes me as follows:

Morgan Murrah, creator of a website that advocates for a new Whatcom hospital district, agrees. He’s motivated by a desire for more choice in health care services locally. “I feel slightly less free just because I only have this one fallback emergency option that’s close by,” he said, referring to St. Joseph. “It would make me feel good to have another option.”

How incredibly reasonable is that!

Second, I have good news. The website at whatcompublichospital.org was recently subject to a volunteer web accessibility review by Thea Walther, an accessibility specialist at Axess Lab, and she found little to remark on. I made some improvements to make it aim to seek to match AAA WCAG 2.2 standards as much as possible, a very high standard. We always welcome feedback!

Stay tuned for next months edition of the news from WPH!

Thank you so much. Yay. Good news.
