wonder systems

sure, sure, everyone
's definition of Artificial Intelligence
is boring, forgetting to include
hurricanes and corporations;
and work on Ethical AI somehow (somehow
indeed) missing that society and
culture are by their nature "artificially"
intelligent; if they're worried about
the reparations due in a structural imbalance
the AIsthetes should look around and conduct
themselves accordingly, but.

if technology, as now framed
by a society tending towards centralization,
builds itself towards centralization; the benefits
of diversity are seen as externalities;
for sake of late late night conversation accept
this trend towards Ubik/Goo computing all, how
shall we fashion and scheme towards the good?

hours later, a proposal:
a multicolored rainbow of goos, enforced by
privacy laws, made enforceable by antitrust;
Jeffersonian goo farming, everyone growing
their pet theories / observations / aesthetics
in cyborg stewardship, all watching with
the machines in loving grace. let a million
model reductions bloom, raise the hue and
shed a tear for all the gray futures
involute with fake inevitabilities.

having practiced this path to hope, finally
we can rest, to muddle clarity
with action's curiosity another day.
