WICCA News and Events
Hi there!
We hope you all are safe and healthy! <3
We have some news to share and upcoming events on the agenda. For now, our events will still be remote until further notice, but let's look at the positive side of things. The situation has allowed for us to connect with the rest of the world!
Look at that, we're a proper newsletter now!
Here is an overview of our upcoming events:
From the Underground to Autonomous Cars (October 26)
Three ladies from McAfee will present on their research. The event will start at 18:00 and end at 21:30. Here are the talks:
- MuddyWater, the APT that targets the Middle East
- Fooling Autonomous Cars with Model-Hacking
- How Chinese Cybercriminals Use Business Playbook to Revamp Underground

WICCA & WoSec (November 28)
WICCA will team up with WoSec Montreal for a training on all things Remote Code Execution. If you would like to take the chance and be the one to give this workshop, don't hesitate to contact us. We are looking for a WICCA speaker! For the others, stay tuned.
The Meetup link will follow soon.
In other news, we've been in contact with DeGoedeZaak, who is organizing a hackathon to protect activists from troll attacks. They are looking for skilled people to assist them, so we'd thought we'd share their request with you.
DeGoedeZaak is looking for web developers, security experts and hackers to help them design tools that help activists to be more resilient against online attacks, and to inform them on the best practices of online safety. Because the individuals that would rely on these tools are already targeted online, security will be a key topic during the hackathon.
If you're interested in participating in the hackathon, please send a short description of your skills to emma@degoedezaak.org and she will give you further instructions. The hackathon will take place in the first half of November and will be in Dutch.
Stay safe! Should you need anything we can provide, don't hesitate to drop us a mail.
Kind regards / Met vriendelijke groet,
Valentine
