'Fragments' afterthoughts and works for sale
I launched my exhibition 'Fragments,' giving away prints, selling a few, and planning future works!
Hello there!

I hope that you are well. I’ve had an amazing weekend, and despite many unexpected pieces of shit hitting the fan of life last week, I made the work that I wanted to do. ‘Fragments’ opened on Friday. Lots of people came; friends, friends of friends, and folks I have never met before. I wanted to give out as much of the work as I could for free, and it turned out to be a good shout! Each person coming to the exhibition could take one small print from the wall at no charge. I signed them all. They weren’t rough work prints, but rather good-looking pieces I printed a day before on archival, matte paper. If you look at the next picture, this is what the main wall looked like before the opening.

And this is where I started from in the morning, to replace photos that were taken:

Of 82 small prints, 56 were taken away and now live in different homes. Lovely! On top of that, I managed to sell a few larger prints. Thank you for coming, if you were there! I truly appreciate it.
I made a little ‘behind the scenes’ video which is available on Instagram. See how we did the work.
Future of ‘Fragments’ and prints for sale
I am going to develop this body of work into something slightly different. Stay tuned. I feel that the photos have some potential. In the meantime, as quite a few folks asked me about this, I have put together a small catalogue of prints for you to look at. You can buy them in two sizes for your collection or your wall. I will print all photographs on archival-quality paper, and 25% of sales will go to Kherson Help, a charity that works in Ukraine and helps citizens of (once beautiful) town of Kherson withstand the evil of russia. Let’s help these people if we can!
Drop me an email if you’d like any prints, and if the prices look like too much, then let’s chat.
Special mentions time!
I would not be able to make ‘Fragments’ without the help of these lovely folks. Give them a follow. They all rock hard!
My penpal and mentor, Jörg Colberg, encouraged me to explore experimental avenues and try something new. I owe him. Read his stuff. He’s ace.
Polya Moshenska filmed me at work, and you’ll see some of that soon, when I’ll write more about the process.
My brother, Chris, who’s a super-talented sound and light engineer, took a few shots of me, too.
Sylwia Kowalczyk photographed the installation process, and, being an awesome photographer, she did great work.
Emiliya Yordanova, a dear friend and an artist, helped me install this madness on the walls of the Scot-ART gallery.
I just realised that all these links lead to Instagram. So much for escaping. LOL. 🤷🏻♂️ But I felt like acknowledging others is crucial; we don’t do enough of it! Respect.
Enjoy the rest of your day and see you soon! Look at that PDF file. You might like something. Also, if you missed it, it’ll give you an idea of what was on the walls.
Best regards,
Wojtek
