It's just a question - Why Am I Making This? Issue #28
Hi,
It’s me. Well done to anyone who got the Taylor Swift reference in the newsletter title. She had a new album out this month which I liked a lot, which will surprise no one. Listening to it has really cranked up my wistful feelings. I’ve got a lot to pine about.
This month was kind of a mess honestly, so this is pretty much an IOU for a newsletter where I actually catch you up on the random stuff I’ve been doing. (I’m going to take + process photos of my pottery again one day... I’ve still been making a bunch of it.) In October I did quite a lot of photography and sent a batch of film to the lab with photos from August to mid-October. I also took a lot of digital photos... but for now, I’m just going to send a random selection of the film I got back. Included are a photos from a frisbee game at the coolest wedding ever, miscellaneous fall moments, and scenes from New York City. I have finally decided to have the camera that took a lot of these photos serviced. As you can see, many of them are massively overexposed. I don't hate the look actually - I'll probably continue to do it intentionally sometimes, but it would be better to have this camera be able to take correctly exposed photos.
Til next month, when hopefully my brain will have more space for literally anything.
Love, Julien
P.S. An overdramatic Taylor Swift handwritten note for you.
