Cats and Warheads: A Roundup
Oh, hello there! It's been a little while since my last newsletter, but I promise I haven't been slacking.
The above image by Ilias Kyriazis is the cover for my upcoming IDW series Cat Fight, an action-packed glamorous globetrotting adventure story about a cat burglar who finds himself running for his life from a syndicate of rival thieves! It's an incredibly fun ride with amazing art from Ilias, Auguste, and Dennis Yatras. Six issues from IDW, launching at the end of May, and available to pre-order right now from your local comic store!
For more info about Cat Fight, check out our recent interviews with Comicon and Gay League!
I also spoke to AIPT recently about another current project, my Negasonic Teenage Warhead story for Marvel Voices, part of Marvel's Infinity Comics digital line. This is my first time writing one of Marvel's merry mutants, and I really went all in, with guest appearances by some of my all-time favourite heroes, including Emma Frost and Moondragon, and a story of cosmic absurdity that should be surprisingly relatable for many readers.
Negasonic Teenage Warhead is available to read exclusively on the Marvel Unlimited app! Art is by Carola Borelli, Brittney Peer, and Eleanora Carlini.
Finally, if you haven't already picked up the collected edition of Sins of the Black Flamingo, my occult noir story with art by Travis Moore and Tamra Bonvillain, that's available now from all good queer-inclusive book shops. I recently gave an author talk at the New York Public Library about the series, and you can watch that on Vimeo right here!
Thanks for reading! You're a real sport!
