Instantly, Wonho looked his way - ears catching onto the slightest sound and Ten was taken aback. The Ren waved, his limbs too stiff to return the gesture.
“Are you a Ren also?” Wonho asked when he was close enough, the timber of his voice achingly familiar - a hazy dream that Ten couldn’t quite recall. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before.”
What was a follower to a God? A civilian to a Ren?
What was he to ‘Wonho’?
Would he be struck down if he spoke?
(No, he wouldn’t. He knew this like he knew the place of every bloodcell in his body. But there was something else that resounded within him.)

One might argue that there is little difference between a hero and a civilian: bravery, hubris, perhaps loyalty.
Could a Ren breathe in this foul odour, tolerate how his words - once prophetic - were now nothing more than heresay? Could a civilian listen to inaudible whispers, feel the sting of his teeth breaking skin?
Did it really matter when it all bled into one?

At any given moment, walking into WayV's practice room felt like walking in on the impending eruption of a volcano. Without an omega to balance them, the tension between the members had become almost suffocating. It wasn't that they disliked each other, but without an omega, they were forced to rely on borrowing omegas from the other units of NCT as a temporary solution, while the dose of suppressants for the alphas was scheduled to be increased.
