What in the World

My first big event for the second half of the year is happening… in a few days! We’ll get to that right after…

Support my work

  • Work-Life Balance is an award-winning prose/comics hybrid that I co-created with Benjamin Chee.

As mentioned in the last edition, our international distributor is going through a messy bankruptcy right now. However, there’s good news! I can officially tell you that you’ll be able to get Work-Life Balance in bookstores and comic shops around the world once again—by the start of 2026.

If you can’t wait till then, the best way to get a copy in the meantime is through our publisher’s website.

  • Worlds Apart: A Conversation About Mental Health is a comic that I co-created with Nurjannah Suhaimi. You can get it directly from our publisher or in-store at these fine comic shops:

    • Greenlight Comics (AU)

    • Kalibak’s Kave (SG)

    • G&B Comics (SG)

  • How Are You Feeling? collects Worlds Apart, along with other comics by Andeasyand, Vinita Ramani, and Griselda Gabriele. There isn’t a scheduled date that it’ll be on international bookstores’ shelves at the moment, but you can pre-order it through our publisher’s website.

Not a Hugo winner (yet)

But I will be part of two virtual panels at this year’s Worldcon.

On Thursday night (PST), I’ll be doing a reading of Work-Life Balance’s first chapter. I timed it and it looks like it’ll probably take up the whole half an hour, but if I have a couple of minutes left over, I’ll happily answer any questions.

On Friday night (PST), I’ll be part of the panel, “Podcasting Folklore”, with The Gods Must Be Crazy podcast, and moderated by Ng Yi-Sheng. I’ll be speaking as the co-creator of Ghost Maps, as well as Dead Air and Tales From Incredible Tales.

If you wanna attend these and other virtual sessions, the instructions on how to join are here—and I very much hope that you do join us. This is my first Worldcon ever, so it’ll be lovely if we had a… well, not a full house, obviously. But at the very least, it’ll be great if a whole lot of you tune in.

(In other event news, I’ll share details of How Are You Feeling?’s launch as soon as everything’s all set.)

“And just where have you been?”

A grey cat sitting on top of a refrigerator.
“I have been worried sick!”

A little more than a week ago, I came back to this face after a very late night shoot (more on that soon too). I was so exhausted that his sweet little meow actually made me jump. I’m sure he was proud of himself.

That’s all for now

As always, don’t forget to support my work.
