PrismML claims to have cracked the code on 1-bit LLMs that are actually usable in production. If true, this could make AI dramatically cheaper to run and accessible to way more people.
Why this matters: The AI revolution has been expensive as hell. If we can get similar performance with drastically lower compute costs, suddenly every app and device could have AI built in.
