MEETING COMICS

General Update

Hey folks! While I had gotten back into a groove with my comics, last week did not prove to be a viable comic page creation week. The short version is that every part of my life that has things I'm dealing with had something going on that I had to deal with last week. I'm fine, and things are progressing! My recommendation if at all possible is to not schedule a doctor's appointment, a vet appointment, and a call with a lawyer all in the same week! Especially if it's a six-day work week! And maybe don't schedule all that stuff for the week before your kickstarter ends! I gotta start actually looking at my calendar. I'm fine, by the way. Just in my fifties and starting the "preventative care" thing since I don't want the wheels to come out from under me unnecessarily.

Anyway, I hope to have a new page soon. The current one is laid out and lettered, and there are roughly sketched figures in place, so it'll be along shortly.

Kickstarter

The kickstarter for Tina and Ellie Takes the Case ends this week. Last week it finally hit its funding goal and it's now sitting at one dollar above the funding goal, so I'm relieved, but also hyperaware of the fact that if it stays here and someone cancels their pledge before the campaign ends, it won't fund, so I will definitely be promoting the kickstarter in the next few days.

I've fiddled with the zine stretch goal a bit. I initially just said there would be a zine if we hit $3000, but to add more increments that I could push for along the way, I switched it up:

At $2600, which is $99 away as I type this, I will make the zine, but it'll just be 8 pages. For every $100 past that, up to $3000, I will add 4 pages, up to a total of 24 pages at $3000.

Yesterday I decided that part of what will go in the zine if I print it will be Tina and Ellie Case Files. We know from The Divorce Party that Tina and Ellie put in enough time as apprentice detectives that they qualified to be fully licensed detectives. We're not going to see comics of all those cases, but we can peek into them. Here's what I have come up with for three pages of the zine.

Sorry (or you're welcome) for there not being any puns in the description of the last one.

OK, that's where we are! Here's the kickstarter link if you know anybody you think would be into it! Take care!

Thanks for reading!
