Hitting The Links: 2/11/24
An exercise in accounting, a ton of links, and my weak link
The Virtual Memories Show News
A 2x/week email about a podcast about books & life
Accounting Archeology
Appointment with the accountant tomorrow for 2023 taxes, so I’ve been excavating a pile of 22 months’ worth of bills, bank & credit card statements, etc. this morning, to make sure my numbers are okay (and to file away all the stuff I never got around to at the end of 2022, for whatever reason). It’s an interesting forensic exercise, reconstructing what passes for my life.

This email setup runs $29/month, so if you want to help out with it or otherwise Contribute To The Cause, you can support the Virtual Memories Show with a contribution of any size. You’ll get my thanks & a hand-painted postcard.

Fractured Body, Fractured Mind
My neck situation got immensely worse, but I’m not going into details here, except to say my doctor wants me to do NO EXERCISE AT ALL for a month, ahead of my next consultation. Not even my morning 15-minute routine. Meanwhile, I’m on a steady diet of anti-inflammatories & muscle relaxants. I’ve been walking 2-3 miles a day. It’s felt better this weekend, but I’m not going to push my luck. Anyway, it’s a good thing no one reads this far, because I wouldn’t want you to worry. If you ask nice, I’ll send you a shirtless pic from what may have been My Final Workout.
Until Next Time
Thanks for reading this far! I’ll be back on Wednesday with a new episode and some art, and on Sunday with links, books, & non-workout craziness, & who knows maybe a little profundity or something.
