207 - Redux: The Year of the Rabbit! π

Note: I'm nearly back from my big trip, so I'm hoping there's gonna be a FLOOD more of content. Relaxation and content creation vibe pretty well :D
Thought it might be good to do a near-the-end-of-the-year check-in of how the Year of the Rabbit has gone; for me, things have to change to get better - and...it's kind of worked? We'll see what the new year brings :)

This Lunar New Year, there are TWO 'February's' - essentially, a leap month, and this particular one is a type of leap month we don't see for a REALLY long time (I don't know why, but it is). It's called ιζ₯ε Όιζ and is a really good thing for romance this year - you'll see this as an ongoing theme throughout the zodiacs.

The Glossary
As usual, a few glossary terms:

A βname yearβ is usually a year of change - and often that is a 'bad' thing. This year I worked out that there are different TYPES of name years - and itβs got to do with your position in the zodiac relative to the current year - if you're 3, 6, or 9 positions away from the current year - you'll have a different type of name year. There's a completely other type of name year (for Dragons I think?), and I don't know how it was worked out. Anyway - lots of name years to go around...

Any time I mention a βsponsorβ it means that thereβs someone who will appear in your life as a benefactor of some sort. It doesnβt mean theyβre literally rich or will give you money, it means theyβll be valuable to your life.

A βcrisisβ of any type means that there could be an incident relating to that particular thing. So for example, a βblood crisisβ means youβll have an incident relating to blood. But that could be you donating blood, or a blood test, so usually the advice is to get your blood tested (which is really just a healthy annual thing to doβ¦).

New old concept: Elements: I've made reference to them before, but there are 5 elements in Feng Shui - Earth, Gold, Water, Fire and Wood and I use them a lot in the explanations so thought I would just put this in here.

This year, there's a lot of Fire even though it's a Water Rabbit year (don't ask me why - I'm still trying to work it all out). Because of that, if you're born in Summer/Spring, you'll be more at risk of stroke / heart related issues (because you already have 'fire' in your life, the added fire is bad). If you were born in Autumn/Winter, you need fire, so it's not as bad of a thing. There are lots of explanations that I've ommitted here because he goes deep into like...'well you're more Wood this year, and because of the fire, the fire will catch alight and cause problems' or 'you should bring more gold and water into your life to combat the fire' but then he doesn't explain how to do that. So...yeah. Elemental fortune-telling. That's new, right?

New concept: Comets - I have never seen this before, but there are comets that are curently in...bad alignment. Feng Shui-wise, there are some weird things that are happening but it essentially means:

The Zodiac Predictions
π Rabbit - The Year of Surprising Good Luck: Technically, it's your name year, because it's the Year of the Rabbit. That means that usually, you're going to have a bad year ahead.
However, surprisingly, you have FIVE lucky stars to help support you, covering good fortune, more money, more sponsors, more art/culture in your life, and good luck around cooking / eating (?). This means that you're going to be really successful in your career and life, and you should be taking advantage of all the good luck and sponsors to plan for the next few years
Unfortunately, romance will fall to the side because of this - so choose carefully, as you may fall into some disappointing relationships (since you'll be much more successful at work!). Also, you have an unlucky star which relates to the increase of bladed crises this year - one way to get rid of this is to get a blood test at the start of the year :)
In summary: this one's short because it's just good fortune this year!
πDragon - The Year of Low Battery Vibes: it's a name year for you. Don't ask me why, it just is. This one in particular relates to conflict, friction, and a lack of compromise / co-operation (especially with Rabbits!). You're under a sickness sign as well, which means you'll be feeling a lack of energy, a lack of motivation, and well, just all around lethargy for everything. A lot of 'little paths' are opening up in front of you, and it's difficult to work out the right way to go to achieve the future you want. Specifically for male Dragons - higher risk, and for those born in summer, also higher risk. Be careful of stroke and heart problems!
Relatedly, relationships-wise it's a bad year because the lack of motivation leads to this lack of passion as well - if you know a Dragon, just be ready for them to be extra sensitive this year (both physically and mentally).
Because of things not going to plan, you need to appreciate the world as it is, take breaks, re-energise and coast along for a bit. Stay relaxed and happy as much as possible to combat the sickness sign - don't worry about other people, don't make things all you responsibility, follow your own path, sit back, and just relaaaaaax.
In summary: low energy year, just take it easy; rest, relax and recharge as you can!
π Snake - The Year of Doggedly Getting On With It: Not many lucky stars this year - only 2 minor sponsor stars. In addition, usually Roosters and Horses are your best zodiac friends, but because they're both having name years, the bad luck seems to have unfortunately transmitted over to you... That means that the year will be slow, but the unlucky stars will will turn the minor sponsors you had into...not sponsors. Those unlucky stars will also make it hard to work out how to resolve problems (sidenote: the way that the phrase was worded was 'just like when a mouse encounters a turtle'!), so just be patient - these things will all shake out, and you'll get through it eventually.
Overall, unfortunately you will have to be more individualistic and rely on yourself as there will be less support from the people around you. This means that you'll have to be your own trailblazer to succeed - no-one will really be able to help you. The 'Sky Dog' unlucky star means that you can't even trust the friends and colleagues that DO stick around (It'll just take a while to...uh...trust again?). In terms of crises, you'll be pulled into situations which have absolutely nothing to do with you, but you somehow get involved. Fun year, hey?
Because of the comets, men are kind of at risk this year (health-wise, fortune-wise, finance-wise), so the advice is to turn to your partner / wife / mother to help with finance-related things.
In summary: Try and experiment with a lot of stuff, use your own efforts to individually set a path - even if bad things happen, it'll open up other doors to you. Stay patient, and it will allll get better (maybe...next year?).
π Horse - The Year of Galloping Forward: a name year for you, yes, but you're in the top 3 for luck! There are, again FIVE lucky stars in the works for you this year - three related to great sponsors and relationships, and two for romance specifically. These sponsors will help you work well in co-operative teams, and will help you forge a path ahead, finding confidence in what you want to do! In addition, romance-wise, there are a lot of happy things to come (move in, wedding, kids etc.). Explanation-wise, Horse and Rabbit are usually great friends, but as it's the Year of the Rabbit, they're the 'king' of the year and don't like sharing the glory of great luck. So, yeah.
There's only one unlucky star, which relates to people talking behind your back and spreading rumours (most likely because you've got such great sponsors and relationships). Also, it's easy to get wounded, have arguments - mainly due to that star. Stay healthy (don't get fat), do your exercise and keep things uncluttered - because everything else is going well, sickness is your biggest threat! For summer babies, be careful of stroke, or blood-related diseases (arteries / veins).
In summary: Keep the long term in mind, take advantage of the sponsors that you have, and plan for your efforts to bring about some powerful change.
π Sheep - The Year of Keeping the Lucky Hand Rolling: last year was great, this year will ALSO be great. Rabbits and Sheeps have the Three Unities (dedicated readers will know that this is pretty good alignment!), and there are a clutch of great lucky stars as well - one related to financial investment, good boss/subordinates, a great career growth one, and two that relate to changing bad situations into good ones. There are sponsors a-plenty - essentially, everyone's here to help.
What this means is that you should just GO FOR IT this year. Whatever you want! Career, relationship, life - it's all going to be going well! You'll be extra attractive to people, and lots of people will want to be with you - but due to the influence of another bad star (the 'White Tiger' - which relates to others spreading rumours about you), you should be wary about getting into these too quickly. Try to turn these supporters into your sponsors, and create some good teams and partners for your work.
In terms of risks - some Blood stars (sounds like something from a horor movie...) are causing sickness, including blood and heart diseases, as well as 'mental unrest' which is ill-defined in Chinese (classic), but will essentially lead to more accidents.
In weird advice land, for the fifth and sixth lunar months (translated to Australian months = December and January), eat some sashimi and fresh oysters to help combat the 'fire' from the year to stay physically and mentally fresh.
In summary: Keep that lucky hand going, and surround yourself with some great people to help your dreams come true.
π Monkey - The Year of Earth-Shaking LUCK: last year was fucked, this year is going to be GREAT. Out of all the zodiacs you are the most lucky, with a total of EIGHT lucky stars. You have two of the luckiest stars (Dragon Karma and Pale Purple (? I don't know if I've translated these right)), the Jade Shrine (which aids in promotions and wealth) and the Earth Solve (which helps change bad situations to good ones). Use your powers of speaking well and getting along with people to gather sponsors, make your dreams become reality, and unlock opportunities to advance to the highest levels. Monkeys usually represent a sharp axe (?), and with the fire that comes from this year, you'll be able to turn iron into steel. Use this year to create and plan a strong series of years to come.

πRooster (me!) - The Year of Utter Turbulence: apparently, last year all your friends watched from afar, you didn't have many sponsors, and you just kept to yourself to get the job done. This year, well, it's not much better at all.
Roosters and Rabbits are in 'opposition' on the Zodiac, and this makes it a name year. Your luck has been washed away, and it's been pushed away like "two magnets in opposition in the universe". There are no lucky stars this year - no sponsors, no romance, no career - nothing. This change doesn't necessarily have to be negative, and usually he puts a better spin on things, but...unfortunately, there are five UNLUCKY stars - which means lots of fuure change, challenges at home, at work, and with your romantic life.
Whatever effort you put in, you just won't get the results you're hoping for, and this will lead to a lot of inner turbulence, especially about your life. You'll have to work things out yourself - nobody's going to be able to help you unfortunately. Health-wise, again it's about stroke and heart problems to look out for. Romance-wise, just don't have hope for it...if you can stay steady in whatever relationship you have right now, then it'll be a success this year. As a silver lining though, throwing out all the old crap helps to bring in new luck. The translation says that if you're already in a justice system related job (lawyer, policeman or judge) then this will affect you a lot less.
The lucky stars you have are both related to romance / relationships - and are two great lucky stars forr these. But this, combined with the legal troubles, indicates that you might fall in with con-men, scams or people trying to steal stuff from you. It could be in the form of romance scams, phone scams, or just straight up theft. Be really careful about windfalls - you do have a Fortune star that shines on you, but you have to make sure that it's done the right way (because, again, legal troubles).

Health-wise, be careful of prostate / women-related sicknesses (I interpreted this as like...genital related? STD's? Translations can be hard sometimes...). There are critical bladed crises to be avoided as well (sidenote: apparently, there will be seven blood crises to be avoided, and you can buy stuff from him to help you get rid of them. GRIFT MUCH? Anyway...). Spring and summer babies will be more at risk of stroke and heart problems / diseases.
In summary: The Sun Star is always a good omen - you'll be more popular, be exposed to new experiences, and be great with your relationships.
