Hey there, !

Today, based on the letter X, we're going to brainstorm 10 businesses that require you to purchase 10 "things":
-
10 Eggs - a slightly modified version of the normal dozen-egg format which is optimised for being a multiple of 2, 3, 4 and 6. The twist is those extra two eggs are donated to someone in need! Social enterprise hard at work here, ladies and gentleman (we are not off to a good start...)
-
Plate Up - a set of 10 plates that seem irregularly shaped, but can be modularly attached together to create bigger serving plate shapes as required. Keep them separate for daily use, or snap them together as serving platters for a party.
-
Random 10GB - purchase a USB that holds 10GB worth of movie / series content, sent to you on a monthly basis. A highly curated service for internet-strapped people, ensuring they're up to date with the latest hotness, but don't need to sign up for a subscription...service......whoops.
-
1 x 10 Noodles - a 10pack of noodles, but every packet is just one loooooooooooooong noodle. Similar to 'long life noodles', but I'm imagining it to be like a really long udon noodle that fills the entire bowl.
-
GroupQR - a pack of 10 QR codes that you give to friends and family in a groupchat, which provides access to a private social network of just that group of people. There's no other way to access the app/network other than the QR code.
-
Wacky timers (this is getting hard) - a business that sells you 10 minute timers, but measured really weirdly. Like, an hourglass that uses confetti. Or a marble that is slowly rotating downwards in a spiral, but due to friction and whatever liquid it's suspended in, it takes 10 minutes to get to the bottom. Or it's a flower that opens and closes every 10 minutes. Or maybe it's a wind-up spring that releases tension after 10 minutes exactly. Let the imagination run wild!
-
The 10X App - the app that can only be opened 10 times. I don't know what mind-bogglingly amazing content it would need to have to justify its existence but just to be clear, it's not 10 times per day, but forEVER. Probably would need to have the meaning of life or something at the end of it. Or a really good dumpling recipe.
-
Break the 10km - a challenge / event where you pay an entry fee to run 10km with 10 other people, but it's the same 1km track, and after lap, you all get to add one obstacle to the track. CHAOS.
-
Sharing is Swapping - okay so, you sign up for a program where you contribute a subscription account of some kind (e.g. Netflix, Spotify, a coffee subscription, a magazine subscription, a Tokyo snack box etc.), get matched up to 10 other people, and reap the benefits of all of the subscriptions. The logistics of this would be extremely wicked, but essentially every month you get something completely different and new, but you've only paid one subscription amount. You'd probably have to split it into digital subscriptions vs. physical ones, but it might work for people who want to be surprised every month? (note: I've since found out that OzBargainers do this all the time - but still!)
-
10 x 10 seeds - 10 packets of 10 random seed types that are only described by how you need to look after them. "Indoor plant, minimal water", "Outdoor plant, ambient sun". For the plant enthusiasts out there :D

βοΈReal Life Recommendations
-
No Sudden Move - stacked cast, amazing director, slow paced heist movie available on Netflix. Really great performances from the actors (Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, Julia Fox, Ray Liotta (!), David Harbour, and a great return from Brendan Fraser), and though the plot is a little intricate if you don't pay attention, it has some very fun payoffs at the climax. Be warned though, it's a slow burn movie - not like an Ocean's 11 type Steven Soderbergh film, but a more winding, character-driven version. Highly recommended regardless!
-
Meltdown Artisan - a local Sydney chocolatier who makes these seasonal chocolate bonbons in a variety of flavours. They look FANTASTIC and also taste very delicious - with flavours ranging from matcha, to vodka, to orange, to honeycomb, to raspberry - so good! Best is to wait for announcements on Instagram where she announces her new boxes - get 'em if you can :D

First Images from the James Webb Space Telescope - absolutely fucking incredible. The resolution of what you can see in these images is just crazy to think about - and if you've seen the comparisons with the Hubble Telescope the leaps and bounds of technology is just awesome. The Carina Nebula is crazy cool - take a look at this animation which shows in detail where this actual Nebula is!
-
Homebuyers have stopped mortgage payments in China - watching how the Chinese market has been melting down over this - a boycott of mortgage repayments happening as the economy is getting squeezed and normal citizens becoming distrustful of getting a return on their property investments. Sad times all round.
-
The E-Pimps of OnlyFans - everything is fake and nothing is real, there's always middle-men that can insert themselves into the process and take a cut of the profits. What's interesting to me is how they're organised, and the types of manual labour required (fake authenticity, conversations etc.) to ensure that they can keep the dollars flowing in.
