☄️new horror game☄️ and thoughts™️
NEW GAME about a creepy comet
I made this for the 3rd unnamed game potluck. It is honestly one of my favorite works so far. I’m on a narrative game bent right now and it seems like my writing is getting a bit better every time. Don’t worry it’s just creepy, nothing gross or really disturbing. (that’s the only horror i can survive :< ) The theme was Opposite of/Backwards + Void.
Give it a try! It takes like 5 minutes. https://vaporwario.itch.io/diov
Link Must Die is out!!
Yall remember my last game LINK MUST WORK? (if you don’t go play that, and make sure you burn something down by the end of it ;).
Well that one was actually an unofficial sequel to manadream’s ROM hack Link Must Die from the very first game potluck. The writing is amazing and hilarious, download the patch and play it.

ROM hack of Link's Awakening DX
A 3rd entry in the series does exist (!) as well as a non-canon side game but they have not been released publicly yet.
What is a game potluck?
and why does it kick so much ass?
I said maybe I’d write thoughts™️ and just couldn’t fucking resist.
Earlier this year I got together my queerest and most gamedev-y friends and started an in-person game jam where all the games are anonymous and you try to guess who made what after you play them all. I called it a game potluck. Bring what ya got and let’s enjoy making games together.
Domino Club sounds cool
This was inspired by the interview I heard from a couple DOMINO CLUB members. DOMINO CLUB is basically an anonymous game jam that started from a discord group of friends. I’ve played a handful of games from them and they are both wild and true art. When I first played DOMINO CLUB games I got pretty jealous to be honest. They have kind of a following and it seemed like their games were really in-dialogue with one another.
It was a FREAKIN’ art scene yo! I’m an artist right? I want that! Of course DOMINO CLUB is not accepting members and it turns I just plan suck at “being in a discord server”. (bruh I’m not trying to constantly check discord and then try to butt into people’s conversations.) So I started the game potluck.
There is nothing better than in-person playtests
Seeing someone laugh or react when your game does something cool is like the best feeling in the world. When I first made games I had nowhere to post them so I just showed everything I ever made to anyone that came over to my house (msg me let’s make this happen lol). I started putting my games online and all of that went away. I stopped enjoying making games and started trying to become a “popular” indie dev or some crap…
Anyhow making games for people I know and I get to seeing them play it is fucking awesome. And beats the hell out of getting one sentence comments on itch. So yeah go do that if you can. If you don’t know cool people then join your local gamedev group if one exists and pray you meet people you like.
First newsletter!
Anyhow that was my first newsletter ever! It’s much more fun to write this than post on social media to be honest. It’s nice to have one long post every once in a while than a bunch of short ones. I’ll probably only make one of these every 2 months or so since I don’t release games that often.
Did you like it? There’s not that many of yall out there so go ahead and reply if you want.
