i think this kind of fictional haircut is a better choice for the masc version of the protagonist that also appeared a few comics before. they look much more fashionable, which is good for cultivating that angry aesthetic. yes, i’m misunderstanding anger to be about aesthetics here…
“career boy” (youtube screencap in the comic) is dorian electra’s best song/ video in my opinion. i don’t think the music is very good at all- i guess it’s “fun” pop very close to the musical style pc music has shaped- but i think they really understand about aesthetics, and that’s why people are into their stuff.
in 2019, a well produced, polished video seems to be the best way to present a coherent self and connect with your “audience” to form some wholesome parasocial relationships-
but i’m still stuck in the 2000s writing emails and that’s fine with me. let’s talk soon & i’ll have some actual thoughts, hopefully!
