Habits can be hard to develop, but can also be then equally hard to let go. Or rather, you get beholden to the habits. Which is a good thing, if it is a good habit.

Waking up early, cold showers, exercise, take your pick. I know so many people who cannot go without the outdoor run.

I have a few in progress right now. It is hard, they haven’t set in yet, and I am afraid to lose on them. Unlike this newsletter, which no matter how tired, word-blocked or unmotivated I am at any given weekend, I always do.

These habits, the cold shower switch from warm, regular exercise, and watching youtube less, are hard to form. But I had my birthday yesterday, and while sitting in the park beneath a tree, I made a promise once more to myself to push through.

It isn’t your birthday today (I guess), but I hope you push through on your habit formation as well that have been proving to be rather hard. :)

This is a very tech heavy reads week. Mostly discoveries from the conference

1. Grigori Perelman
   I went into the rabbit-hole of Grigori Perelman’s life after discovering that he was the only Mathematician to have refused to accept the Field’s Medal for his Breakthrough of the year discovery in 2006.

2. Acrophylla alta
   Another wikipedia find. Australia, really has fantasy world kind of species.

3. The Design and implementation of sprites
   This was very interesting for me because instead of wanting to use the product, I actually want to build a dumb version of this myself

4. What if the RAM/GPU shortage is actually deliberate?
   I think I’ve talked about this before in this newsletter. (puts tin foil hat on) I believe one of the convenient side-effects of the circular investment thing that Nvidia, OpenAI and their ilk have going on is definitely artificially reserving all the hardware to create a dependency.
