For this session, rationality will be viewed as the complete knowledge of the truth in this moment. We have somehow trained ourselves to view the rational as anything from the common and mundane to the edges of scientific discovery. However, this leaves out the mystery which is by far the greatest part of the complete truth according to the scientific method that is the foundation of rationality. We have learned to fear the mystery and yet it is a loving relationship with the mystery that has allowed visionaries to expand the ground of rationality. Can we foster that relationship to expand rationality even further?

We will start our journey by briefly reviewing some of the edges of scientific discovery and re-imagining the works of Carl Jung and Erich Neumann. After that, we will leisurely explore how the rational and the mystery manifests in everyday life and how to fan the flames of eros between the two that lie side by side in each of us.

We will examine this question together through the grounded and slowly simmering eros that often emerges in the near-boundless container of Lisa Norton’s Uncertainment Lounge. Bring your unique voice and join us for ninety minutes of co-creation.
