Events: January 2026

Photos by ClaireViolet Photos by ClaireViolet

Hey y’all. I just got back from a week in New York. I’m tired, but putting together a lot of the words for Part 2 of my 2025 reflection, where I’ll hopefully finally reflect on 2025! I really hope you all enjoyed the first part.

In the meantime, here are some upcoming events where I’m thrilled to be showing off my work.

Capitol Hill Art Walk @ Elevation Project

THIS Thursday, January 8th from 6—9pm at Elevation Project. Optional RSVP.

A 22×28 print of Rosemary giving a stick-and-poke tattoo, and a 44×16 print of lanterns at a shrine during a summer festival in Japan.

Please, please, please, please come by my first ever exhibition! Elevation Project is a multi-use creative space, tattoo studio, and art gallery right in the heart of Capitol Hill.

I’ll be selling 4 large framed prints in this gorgeous space. During the art walk, I’ll be around to answer questions, chat while pretending to not be nervous, and be nerdy about cameras. In short, be myself. If you’re in Seattle this week, please don’t miss this. Seeing these film panoramas printed from such detailed scans at this scale is really a treat for me, and I’d love for you to have the opportunity to enjoy them too.

Expect to see two large, vibrant panoramas from Japan, as well as two black and white works. All of these prints are absolutely gorgeous, and I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity to display them. They’ll hang at Elevation Project throughout the month. If you find yourself inspired to get a tattoo while you’re there enjoying my work, say hey to my friend Thaleia.1

Member Portfolio Walk @ Photographic Center Northwest

Saturday, January 24 from 12:30—2pm at PCNW. Optional RSVP.

Several X-Pan panoramas from my recent travel which I’ve printed for my close friends, all cut from a single sheet.

This event is open to the public. Please drop by and tell me what you love about my work. This environment should be a lot more casual: a shorter timeframe, small rooms filled with cool people doing DIY printing, and tables set up for you to look at everyone’s work.

Expect to see prints of some of my best work from my ongoing urban mass transit and industrial photography series featuring Seattle, New York, and San Francisco! Prints will be for sale, but unframed, so bring a poster tube.

You can read more about the event here on PCNW’s website.

The Dreaded Social Media

The back of a sunflower’s head.

Also, I’ve been posting more casual photos that don’t fit in with my typical self-assigned “project” works to Instagram2. You can follow me, if you’d like to see those.

  1. Their style is especially focused on high-contrast horror / surreal creatures and objects. Check out their work and see if it’s a good fit! ↩

  2. Ordinarily, I’d be really upset about using a Meta platform, given… well, everything about it, but within 3 days of logging into my account and following some friends on there, I was offered my first ever gallery show, which is the first event above. Oh well. Can’t win them all. ↩
