Hey there! Hope you're having a solid week.
Couple updates from the past few weeks โย UI Sources just hit a major milestone of over 600 interactions! That's a lot of design inspiration, and we're just getting started! ๐ฏ
Secondly, I'm working on a bunch of updates โ New categories, more apps and deeper coverage of each app. Some of these are already in beta, you'll see them on the site if you look closely enough! More coming soon.
Some highlights if you want to directly jump to new apps:
Memrise: Language learning from native speakers
Aaptiv: Audio fitness app
Tap In: Live group meditation
Spectre Camera: AI powered long exposures
Dunzo: 24x7 food & groceries delivery
Cred: Pay credit card bills

Memrise is a language learning app that uses snippets of native speakers to help you learn a new language. What makes it different from apps like Duolingo is that if you want to learn how to say "Cheers!" in German, "Prost!", you'd actually see a clip of a native speaker with a mug of beer. This is a brand new redesign of the app. The previous one (that I covered last year) was space themed, whereas this one is way more focussed on the core content. Worth checking out for its interactive learning experience and camera translate feature.

Aaptiv combines trainer led workouts and popular music into audio workout sessions. The workouts are a cross between categories like running, strength training, stretching, yoga and genres like Pop, Hip Hop, RnB and more. I found the app interesting for it's clean visual aesthetic, focussed onboarding and strong photography style.

Tap In is a very interesting app that pings you once a day to join a live, group meditation class with an experienced instructor. Each meditation session is an audio/visual experience with blue 3D spheres that appear for each person that joins the meditation room. This is a new app by Fictive Kin, the studio behind the previously covered app Wilson.fm

Spectre Camera is a beautiful camera app designed for capturing high-quality, long exposure shots. It uses AI to computationally stabilise your camera and create cool effects includingย making people disappear from a crowded place, making traffic disappear, smooth waterfalls etc. Check it out for the minimal design, great onboarding and microinteractions.

Dunzo is an app that lets you order anything (food, groceries, supplies, cigarettes etc) from stores around you. I've been using it on and off for more than a year now for picking up documents from around the city and for ordering coffee from my favourite cafรฉ. This is one of the first few apps in an upcoming collection of Indian apps.

Cred is an app that lets you pay your credit card bills, detects hidden charges and gives you rewards for every bill you pay. This is an invite-only app in India, available only to folks above a high credit score threshold. I've been using it to pay my credit card bills over the last few months and really like the clean experience it offers compared to my bank's app. Worth checking out the microinteractions and strong use of brand imagery.
