Hey there! This week, I added 30 new interactions across 4 apps.
Over the next few weeks I will be adding a mix of Chinese and western apps to the site. I've been receiving recommendations and feedback from some designers in China, thanks a lot for the support! It helps me understand the local context and behaviours a lot better.
Are you enjoying UI Sources so far? Anything you'd like to see me to change about it? Drop me a tweet @abnux or hit reply to let me know. Have a great week ahead!
ZCOOL is the Behance of China. You can find design inspiration, build your portfolio and find other designers to follow. They also have design related articles, events, resources, podcasts, courses and more. Great to check out if youβre interested in the Chinese design scene.
Swarm is a social check-in and lifelogging app by Foursquare. You can check-in to bars, restaurants, offices and other places of interest to earn points and unlock special stickers. You can also see friends checking in around you and what they're up to. Over time, your profile becomes a log of places you've visited and you can browse all your activity on a map. Worth checking out for their contextual onboarding using coach marks, their tiny microinteractions and how all of it ties into their strong gamification system.
Guides by Lonely Planet has comprehensive, curated city guides for major cities in the world. You can download these guides offline to find places to see, things to do, stuff to eat, attractions and more. Lonely Planet's other app, Trips can then be used to document your experiences. I've been bookmarking a lot of places for my South Korea holiday coming up next month! Worth checking out for the simple microinteractions and huge database of recommended places if you're planning a vacation.
