RPG Trader! Projects New & Old!
TLDR - Obligatory news, updates, and plugs; my gaming life; solicitation for recommendations; a recommendation in turn.
Hello folks,
It’s been a bit! Since the last time we spoke, my main project has been getting the first A Perilous House release in order to fulfill and then fulfilling it. Two funnels, Sisterhood of the Splintered Bone & This Rose Will Never Die. Everyone should have their books now, as far as I know anyways. It’s up on DriveThru as PDFs and I’m working on print on demand versions as well as setting it up on all the other platforms.
RPG Trader
Speaking of other platforms, Twilit Grotto is now on RPG Trader, which has a beautiful user interface and is, in general, blessed to be another alternative in the stale marketplace for digital RPG products.
The Pirate’s Ghost

My next project is ready to be followed on Backerkit so tell your friends. It’s an investigative horror adventure for Cthulhu Eternal, which means it is compatible with other d100 based horror games, including the most popular ones. It’s very Scooby-Doo but also a fairly serious sequel to Pale Conjure, my first Cthulhu Eternal adventure.
I’m kind of unsure if there is enough interest in that particular system to have a crowdfunding but I am hopeful. (If not, it’ll be released anyways but won’t have a print run or any additional art commissioned.)
Look forward to me mentioning it again, increasingly insistent that you follow before we launch. Backerkit tells me I need 44 followers and right now I have 11.
Goals & Cons
One goal I am tentatively setting for myself is to attend a con as a vendor next year. Depending on the health of my elderly chihuahua and the needs that parenting places on me. So please, if you can recommend any cons with old-school friendly crowds in the Northeast, let me know ([email protected]).
In other news
My Break! game continues apace. My regular group has just about finished a month long adventure through Vampire Cruise. We also took a break to play through The 10th Doomstar. I hope to wrap up Break! within the next month or two, and then I will launch my long requested game of Lancer.
I also picked up a copy of Mythic Bastionland at my semi L-GS, and am nearly done with the next adventure in A Perilous House, so the calendar is looking pretty full. Especially since I got the impression we were all going to go to see Coyote Vs Acme instead of gaming next session.
A final recommendation: a podcast I recently started, The Alan Moore Cast. Devoted to the writer who is probably the single greatest inspiration for me. It’s pretty engaging and fun and is certainly going to trigger a re-read. I just spent a fruitless half-hour digging around for the trade paperback with Moore’s Green Lantern stories (the TV show already dropped a “Mogo doesn’t socialize” so the man looms large).
Be well, stay as sane as you can, follow my Backerkit, game with your friends,
- Matt
