The Caterham off season

Hello 👋

It’s been a bit nippy lately for blatting, but that hasn’t stopped Callum getting out and filming a bit of ‘research’ for you lovely folks.

Check out our latest short film on YouTube, “Is this noise normal?”

ICYMI

Just in case you missed it, we were joined by Ben Edwards again, for a second film looking at Caterham handling and feel. This time Ben took out a 360r and a CSR, to see what he thought of the CSR’s more modern suspension. After the previous day’s filming in a Sigma, we thought he might appreciate taking out the rocket ship that is a CSR 260 🚀 Pity it rained nearly all day then.

One of the most delightful aspects of our YouTube drops is the interaction we get with folks commenting. If you’re not already subscribed, click the button and set the bell icon to notify you of new films. You’ll be pleased to know, we’ve made a conscious decision not to enable advertising (which probably means the algorithm ignores us 😢) — so you get to dive straight into the films, with no interruptions!

Unusual car for sale

Occasionally we take something a little different in part exchange, and end up selling them on to trade suppliers. Or, in the case of something collectable, to a keen enthusiast.

So if you’re an MX-5 fan, we’ve just taken in this 1994 RS Limited Edition. It’s one of only 500. 1.8L 135bhp, 5sp gearbox, LSD, lowered shocks and BBS alloys. It’s done 125,000 miles, and has just had £2,800 spent on paint and rot removal, and another £800 on a cam belt and head gasket!

It's not a Caterham
Mazda MX-5

Get in touch if you’d like to see more pictures or discuss any other details. We’re selling it as is, for £6,500. It won’t have our usual Caterham preparation, and it doesn’t come with a warranty.

Lastly, if you do head out for a drive

Head for the sun! (possibly more like snow at this time of year, huh) And try the Gorge de Daluis in the south of France. You won’t be disappointed 😀

Until next time, happy blatting! 🫡
