Survey results, paint your own car and the weather
Hello 👋
Liking the new newsletter format? We think possibly you do — given the fantastic response we had to the survey in the last newsletter. Wanna know the results? Of course you do.
Survey Results
In the last newsletter, we asked you lovely lot what you’d like to get out of us dropping in on your inbox every now and then. Our survey said:

Callum is slightly relieved that ‘ask me anything’ didn’t win, although we were quite looking forward to seeing what you’d come up with 😂 Feel free to reply to this email at any point and ask him anyway…
Read on to find our first route suggestion — and of course, a chance for you to get involved!
A special car for sale, with a special opportunity for you

We’ve recently had a car in that we sold previously. A gorgeous 2005 Roadsport 120. With only 7,800 miles on the clock and a history we know all of, it’s a beauty. Or, at least, it was until the bare aluminium got a smidgeon neglected. If you’ve owned a bare alu car, you’ll know it’s a lot of work to stay on top of it looking beautiful. And if you don’t stay on top of it, well, it tends to look a lot worse than paint that’s not been washed. All that’s to say, we’re going to repaint this one. It’s off to the bodyshop next week. But if you buy it before it goes, you can choose the colour it gets painted!
Yup, that’s right. You can buy a used car bargain that you will collect looking like it’s just left the factory. Gotta be quick though! Get in touch with us before we take it for paint.
Driving Route

An easy one to start with, the one we used for our Summer Blat this year. Mark says this is one of his favourites, especially the B6255 from Hawes to Ribblehead. It’s equally a giggle in the opposite direction. But, you have to pick your time, unless you want to sit behind pelotons and caravans. This is best enjoyed as an early morning blat. Extra ooos and ahhhs for getting to Ribblehead, from whichever direction you choose to drive it, for sunrise 🌞
We have a lot of routes around Yorkshire in mind, with a fair few more in Scotland and Wales stocked up. Since most of our intrepid crew love a good road trip, we also have some far afield ideas to share.
But we’re betting you folks like to get out on quiet, wiggly, roads too, don’t you? So if you’ve got a favourite blat route you’d like to share, reply to this email and we’ll put it in a future issue. Bonus points if you have photos to share with it too! Naturally we’ll only share with us few here on the mail list, so your route will stay a relative secret 🤫
The weather
Meh, who turned the sky taps back on? It’s not been ideal blatting weather, has it. If you’ve been out recently and took a photo, tag us on the socials as proof? We’re on the YouTubes (but you already knew that, didn’t you?) Facebook and Instagram, and we love a good blat photo. On a final note, a glimpse of the coming days’ weather doesn’t look so bad:

Chilly northerly being dragged in by that low pressure? But some sunshine! Get out if you have the opportunity we say.
Until next time, happy blatting! 🫡
