🗼 FINAL Community Forum of the year! 🏙️
Register here to attend the last TURING WAY COMMUNITY FORUM of 2025. Happening the 10th of December at 14h UTC.
We will be sharing some news regarding some of our processes and ASKING FOR YOUR VIEWS AND FEEDBACK!

Community Forums bring together members of The Turing Way community - including people who have not yet contributed to the project. Modelled off a political town hall event, these online sessions are an opportunity to better understand activities across the project and how decisions are made.
Our aim is to leverage the expertise across our community, and we explicitly invite you to review our processes and recommend improvements. These calls are a mix of celebration, feedback, and opportunities to build connections with other organisations and initiatives around the world.
🤔COMMUNITY INPUT WANTED!
During this Community Forum, we will also discuss the outcome of this Discussion, in which we are considering shifting our traditional Collab Café slot to one hour earlier! Pitch in in the GH discussion!

"Change is uncomfortable and hard as hell. When leaders expect others to change without participating + holding themselves accountable - it's almost impossible. When leaders show up and model the vulnerability required for transformation change - it's often unstoppable"

The Turing Way November Book Dash wrapped up!

The last Book Dash of the year took place from the 10th to the 13th of November, with our public Shareouts happening on the 14th November.
This year we had 2 local hubs: one in Aruba and another one in the Netherlands which left the participants with appetite for another dash next year! 🥳
We also hosted our virtual sessions as usual, with over 20 participants and lots of issues and PRs worked on during the week! Final report will be fully available soon 😃
The Turing Way out in the world 🚀

Léllé Demertzi spoke in the panel 'Intedisciplinary Inquiry and Collaborative Experimentation: Lessons from the AI&Arts Interest Group' on 8th November at the Berlin Science Week. She highlighted the potential role of open source as a new kind of social tool for non-hierarchical, decentralised participatory, communal projects.

Sara Villa participated on a panel on Software Sustainability and Fundraising as part of Crick Institute BioImage Analysis Symposium 2025.
“It was very refreshing to have a vibrant conversation with the developers and researchers in the room, as well as introduce funding and community focus to the discussion.
We didn't solve the world, but it was great to find shared views about my experiences with communities like The Turing Way Open Life Science and RCM Cooperative, while also other embracing some other challenging ones!”
