D+ Error in Automated Turbulence Forecasts
You are receiving this one-time email because you may have received a disproportionately low automated turbulence forecast grade when you flew on .
For certain long trips, an error in our grading algorithm caused the forecast to generate a very harsh grade and incorrectly calculate bumpy time, usually lasting the whole flight time.
It looks similar to the graphic below. The errant forecasts usually have a single taller bar in between shorter blue bars. If you don’t see it, you may have to tell your email program to load images.

This is not the experience I want you to have. I realize it was likely tremendously stressful and I am very sorry for this experience. It's also possible you're on this one time list because you had a genuinely bumpy flight that was not affected by this error. Note that we are adjusting our algorithm here too for genuinely bad flights to be a bit more realistic in grading as sometimes a small course correction or altitude change can result in a better ride.
If you received this disproportionately bad grade and would like a refund or additional credits added to your account, simply reply to this email. Please include details of the flight in question, and how you paid for the forecast. It may take a few days to receive a response due to holiday/summer forecast volume and anticipated response rate to this email.
