Now that’s what I call a mixtape 2024
As I bimble through the spongy unformed days between Christmas and New Year, I’m coming to terms with the fact that life has got in the way of various plans over the past couple of months, including my latest set of newsletters.
I have a bunch of stuff in draft, a few semi-formed ideas, but alas not the time or energy to complete-finish anything of significance.
Ah well, there’s always next year.
This is, therefore, a short post to impose my musical tastes on you, like some unwanted human algorithm.
I’ve been assembling a playlist over the course of the year, usually when a song has caught my attention a couple of times. All tracks were released in 2024, and all have entertained me in some way, shape or form (top tip: I found this handy website which allows you to convert playlists from one streaming service to another).
It was reassuring (or maybe all-too-predictable) to find a fair few of my selection aligned with The Guardian’s best albums of 2024 list. The woke music mind virus is alive and well.
All the very best for a peaceful and fulfilling 2025.
🐷 Thank you for reading/listening.
