Seeking An NYC Housing Swap!
Seeking An NYC Housing Swap!
Hi. Normally this newsletter is for writing-related stuff, but in these horrible times (during which I hope you're doing as well as can be) I am feeling a pull to New York City and my sisters whom I miss very much.
New York is an expensive place to visit! I am hoping to find someone who lives in NYC who would be interested in doing a housing swap for 7-10 days in early 2024 (January-March sometime). My partner and I would come to your place, water your plants, feed your pets, and take good care of your home while you flew to Portland, Oregon, and had a cozy house to live in—also full of plants to water and with a really cute cat to take care of, in a cute neighborhood with parks and shops nearby.
I'm off social media for the foreseeable future, so this feels like my best shot. :) If this is something you'd be into (or maybe you have an idea of someone who it would work for, who I don't know yet), please let me know and we can see what works!
Thanks so much.
Daniel
P.S. To make this at least somewhat writing-related, last night the National Book Award for Fiction was given to Blackouts by Justin Torres, which is my favorite book I've read this year. You should totally pick it up. Mwah.
