Next show tomorrow (Monday)! Plus, sneak preview for June & alumni news
Join us tomorrow night! On Monday 19th May at 7:30 pm we’ll be serving up another evening of fresh, funny, and moving stories at The Phoenix, Cavendish Square. Our lovely MC Victoria Dry will guide us through the night. If you arrive early, mention “True Story” at the upstairs pub for a 10 % discount on food or a pint.

June 16th LIVE Show: Just for subscribers—below is a sneak preview of the storytellers taking the stage next month. If you want to grab your tickets now, you can find them here along with future show dates.

Next DRAFT Workshop: Join us on June 2nd for our monthly mix of stories, feedback, and good company. Whether you’re bringing a rough-cut of a story to test out or just want to listen in with a drink in hand, you’re welcome. If you'd like to tell a draft story, sign up in advance—free spaces fill quickly. Full details are here.
Alumni Spotlight: Did you catch Alfie Dry’s story back in ~2020 about trying to bring his drag alter-ego to the school stage? Miss Take has levelled-up since then, and you can see her latest show live on Thursday 22 May at the Royal Vauxhall Tavern. A crowd from the True Story community will be there, so come say hi, share a drink, and make sure you’re in your seat before the bell rings! Tickets here.

We look forward to seeing you at a LIVE show soon, at RVT, or at a DRAFT workshop!
Michelle, Victoria, Ellis and the True Story team

PS: Love the song that opens our podcast? That’s Sea Noise. Catch them live on 31 May at the Far East Festival, hosted across 10 of East London's independent venues. One £12 ticket gives access to 22 shows and 200 artists over 4 days. (We have no connection—just thought it was a cool-sounding fest supporting indie venues and artists at a time when that’s so needed!)
