Hi all! Remember back in February when True Story Presents debuted Bonnie Oddie’s brilliant “That’s Why Mums Go to Switzerland”? Well, we’re thrilled to announce that Bonnie’s powerhouse play has won Best Solo Show at the Bitesize Festival at Riverside Studios — and we couldn’t be prouder!
Now, for a limited run this weekend, you have the chance to catch this sparkling, moving, intelligent, and funny show about mothers, daughters, life, and death. You won’t want to miss it.

This solo show speaks of dependency, death, love, smoking weed, becoming a ‘bad mother and a bad daughter at the very same time’…and the dog, who knew everything.

Bonnie Oddie
Bonnie originally trained as a dancer/choreographer. She has enjoyed a varied career as a performer, collaborator and teacher. With previous works described as “dance theatre comedy,” Bonnie has gradually discovered her comedic skills. In 2022 Bonnie wrote and performed a short piece for True Story London and featured in their podcast, after which she was encouraged to develop her unique voice as a writer. ‘That’s Why Mums go to Switzerland’ is her debut as a playwright.
