New release – Richer descriptions & optional examples

Trifle

Hello,

A new version of Trifle is now live. It's been a while since our last release, but in the background we've been slowly adding user accounts (see below).

Release notes

  • New Example prices are loaded optionally from settings

  • Improved Redesigned the description field on Rows
    – allow multiple lines
    – can apply italic (cmd+i) and bold (cmd+b)
    – can paste from clipboard (including richtext and images)
    – NB: paste, bold & italic only working in Chrome (so far)

  • Fixed Project margin calculates correctly

  • Fixed Time cost in Price Summary calculates correctly

  • Fixed Deleting the final child of a parent (in some circumstances) no longer breaks that parent row

  • Removed ‘Reference’ rows can now longer be added
    – they were rarely use, if ever it seems, and they add considerable complexity
    – let us know if this is an issue

All release notes can be found at: trifle.app/releases.

Saving to the cloud

Over the past few months we have started work on saving data into user accounts on the cloud. We're slowly making progress and though there's nothing to share just yet, we're keen to hear whether you'd like to see this sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, please remember to export your data regularly. You can do this in settings for all your Prices and user settings, or on individual Prices.

More users please

If you know anyone who might also find the app helpful, please either send them our way or show it to them yourself. We aren't however looking for total strangers just yet as we don't feel the app is stable or intuitive enough yet.

Many thanks,
Ben & Chris
