[New post] Building successful responsible AI teams
Hi all:
I just posted "Building successful responsible AI teams" over at treycausey.com. The unfolding drama at OpenAI encouraged me to finish this one up after sitting in my drafts for a while. I've seen a lot of hot takes this weekend about how the OpenAI board's handling of Sam Altman's firing was either a) a huge strategic blunder, b) a victory for principles over profit, c) the end of responsible AI, or d) some combination of all of these.
I don't think we have enough information yet to know for sure, but I do think it is likely that a lot of leadership teams around industry will be looking nervously at their own responsible AI teams. While this post wasn't written in response to that, it certainly reads as a potential response.
Hopefully you'll find it useful,
Trey
