dermografia IV - can't help myself
Hello friend,
And we're back. Hope the world is treating you well.
It’s mental health awareness week or something like that. And there's lots of well-meaning but largely useless stuff going on. So here’s an actual practical helpful thing, that has been a genuinely useful to me as someone with mental health stuff going on: Echo.
A brilliantly simple app for managing repeat prescriptions. You don’t have to leave the house! That shit arrives through your letterbox! It reminds you when you need to re-order so you don’t run out! It has single-handedly made that bit of health-admin so much less stressful and I recommend it to anyone dealing with repeat prescriptions.

I decided to get the TF instant photo zine properly printed, rather than DIY-ing it all on the office printer after work. This means it'll take a little longer for it to become a real, completed thing but should mean its a much nicer object once it arrives.
We had a picnic yesterday, just in the park near our house. With supermarket snacks and crisps. We watched the magpies and parakeets and dog walkers. Excellent simple pleasures.

Mesmerised by this short video of 'can't help myself' by Sun Yuan and Peng Yu. Industrial robot arm, a seeping pool of blood, a futile task. What's not to like? Watch the video + see for yourself.

The Water Cure is my current bleak reading. It's not explicitly apocalyptic, at least not yet, but there's a sense of unease and something gone wrong in the world that these strange sisters live in.
I also discovered Patricia Lockwood recently and now want to read everything she's ever written. This is a great place to start: How do we write now? - on creativity in the age of Trump.
