#4 - Adnoddau cymunedol, patrymau gwasanaeth, a sesiynau dangos a dweud – crynodeb newyddion digidol Rhagfyr

Helo bawb!

Wrth i’r flwyddyn ddod i ben, rydyn wedi bod yn cymryd amser i fyfyrio ar yr hyn sydd wedi bod yn flwyddyn brysur ac egniol i Trawsnewid Cymru. Mae llawer o’r gwaith wedi digwydd yn dawel mewn sgyrsiau, meddwl ar y cyd a chamau bach ymlaen, ond mae wedi teimlo fel blwyddyn o adeiladu momentwm go iawn.

Rydyn ni wedi dal rhai o’r myfyrdodau hynny mewn blog newydd, 2025: blwyddyn o adeiladu momentwm.

Rydyn ni hefyd eisiau dweud diolch o galon i bawb sydd wedi ein cefnogi eleni drwy ddarllen, rhannu, herio ein meddwl, mynychu digwyddiadau, a rhoi i’n ariannwr torfol i’n helpu i argraffu a rhannu’r adroddiad. Mae eich cefnogaeth wedi gwneud y gwaith hwn yn bosibl.

Etholiad y Senedd 2026

Gyda’r etholiad Seneddol yn nesáu, mae’r flwyddyn nesaf yn bwysig. Bydd y penderfyniadau a wneir nawr yn siapio sut mae gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yng Nghymru yn cael eu hariannu, eu dylunio a’u cyflawni dros y degawd nesaf.

Os ydych chi’n poeni am ddyfodol gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yng Nghymru ac yn teimlo y gallwch chi gymryd rhan, dyma rai ffyrdd syml o wneud hynny:

• Darllen a rhannu’r adroddiad a’r blogiau. Defnyddiwch nhw i ddechrau sgyrsiau yn eich timau, rhwydweithiau a sefydliadau.

• Siarad am ddigidol a dylunio gwasanaethau y tu hwnt i “dechnoleg”. Gofynnwch gwestiynau am sut mae gwasanaethau’n diwallu anghenion go iawn, sut mae penderfyniadau’n cael eu gwneud, a phwy sy’n cael ei gynnwys neu ei eithrio.

• Ymuno â’r sgwrs. Cymryd rhan yng nghymuned Cymru Ddigidol, mynychu digwyddiadau, neu gyfrannu at drafodaethau agored fel sesiynau dangos a dweud.

• Ymgysylltu’n wleidyddol, yn eich ffordd eich hun. Gofynnwch i ymgeiswyr a phleidiau beth yw eu cynlluniau ar gyfer gwasanaethau cyhoeddus, gallu digidol a meddwl hirdymor yng Nghymru.

• Aros mewn cysylltiad. Dilynwch ein gwaith, rhannwch adborth, a helpwch ni i barhau i adeiladu hyn yn y gweithred agored.

Ni ddaw newid o un sefydliad nac o un adroddiad. Fe ddaw o lawer o bobl yn tynnu i’r un cyfeiriad, dros amser.

Newyddion digidol y mis hwn yng Nghymru

Deallusrwydd artiffisial mewn gofal sylfaenol
Mae Dr Rebecca Payne, Meddyg Teulu ac Uwch Ddarlithydd Clinigol ym Mhrifysgol Bangor, a chyd-awduron eraill yn trafod y defnydd cynyddol o ddeallusrwydd artiffisial mewn gofal sylfaenol. Mae’r papur yn dangos y gall offer AI gefnogi diagnosis a lleihau’r pwysau ar wasanaethau, ond bod eu heffaith wirioneddol yn dibynnu ar sut maen nhw’n cael eu cyflwyno i ymarfer clinigol bob dydd. Gofal sylfaenol yw’r man lle mae ymddiriedaeth, diogelwch a mynediad ar eu mwyaf bregus, ac mae’n rhaid i AI gefnogi barn glinigol a pherthnasoedd, nid tanseilio’r rheini.

Lansiad gwefan Cymru Ddigidol
Ers GovCamp Cymru, mae Benjy Stanton, Monika Swiatek a Nia Campbell wedi bod yn gweithio ar brosiect cymunedol i rannu adnoddau digidol yng Nghymru. Mae’r wefan bellach yn fyw, a byddent wrth eu bodd yn clywed eich barn a’ch syniadau am beth arall ddylai gael ei gynnwys.

Cynllun AI i Gymru
Mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn amlinellu ei cynllun AI i Gymru, gan ddisgrifio sut y dylid datblygu a defnyddio deallusrwydd artiffisial mewn ffyrdd moesegol a dibynadwy sy’n cyd-fynd â gwerthoedd Cymru. Er bod yr uchelgais i’w groesawu, mae’r cynllun yn dibynnu’n drwm ar botensial y dyfodol. Ni fydd AI ar ei ben ei hun yn trwsio bylchau sylfaenol mewn cyflawni, arweinyddiaeth na gallu, ac heb sylfeini cryfach yn y ffordd mae gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yn gweithio heddiw, mae perygl gwirioneddol y bydd AI yn ychwanegu cymhlethdod yn hytrach na gwella canlyniadau.

StatsCymru wedi’i ail-ddychmygu
Mae Stephanie Howarth, Prif Ystadegydd Llywodraeth Cymru, yn egluro’r gwaith o ailadeiladu ac ail-lansio gwefan StatsCymru ar ffurf beta, gyda ffocws ar wneud ystadegau Cymru yn haws eu canfod, eu defnyddio a’u rhannu. Mae StatsCymru yn sail i benderfyniadau sy’n seiliedig ar dystiolaeth ledled Cymru, ac mae gwasanaeth data cliriach a mwy defnyddiol yn helpu pawb – o ddadansoddwyr i’r cyhoedd – i gyrraedd y mewnwelediad cywir yn gyflymach.

Y Pumed Llawr – digwyddiad byw
Mae Aelod o’r Senedd Lee Waters yn trafod datganoli a sut mae system wleidyddol Cymru yn gweithio yn ymarferol, mewn digwyddiad byw “Y Pumed Llawr”. Mae llawer o’r rhwystrau “digidol” mewn gwasanaethau cyhoeddus yn wleidyddol ac yn strwythurol, ac mae deall y system yn helpu timau i ddewis tactegau sy’n realistig (ac i wybod ble mae dylanwad mewn gwirionedd).

Mae sesiynau dangos a dweud yn adeiladu ymddiriedaeth
Mae Joshua Hunt, Pennaeth Cyflawni Agile yn Iechyd a Gofal Digidol Cymru, yn esbonio sut wnaeth show and tells brechu helpu i adeiladu ymddiriedaeth, dealltwriaeth ar y cyd a momentwm ar draws sefydliadau. Mae sesiynau dangos a dweud rheolaidd ac agored yn ffordd ymarferol o leihau dyblygu, datgelu risgiau cyflawni yn gynnar, a helpu timau i ddysgu gyda’i gilydd mewn gwasanaethau cymhleth, aml-bartner.

Lansiad llyfrgell patrymau gwasanaeth
Mae’r Ganolfan Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Digidol wedi lansio llyfrgell patrymau gwasanaeth, sy’n cynnig atebion ymarferol y gellir eu hailddefnyddio i broblemau cyffredin fel gwneud cais, archebu neu dalu. Mae’n helpu timau i ddylunio gwasanaethau digidol sy’n gyflymach i’w hadeiladu, yn haws i’w defnyddio, ac yn hygyrch yn Gymraeg a Saesneg.

Degawd o wahaniaeth
Mae Rob Thomas, Prif Weithredwr Cyngor Bro Morgannwg, a Tom Bowring, Cyfarwyddwr Adnoddau Corfforaethol, yn myfyrio ar ddeg mlynedd Deddf Llesiant Cenedlaethau’r Dyfodol (Cymru) a’r hyn mae wedi’i newid yn ymarferol. Mae’n tynnu sylw at y bwlch rhwng uchelgais hirdymor a gwneud penderfyniadau o ddydd i ddydd, a’r hyn sydd angen i arweinwyr llywodraeth leol ei wneud yn wahanol i droi’r Ddeddf yn newid gwirioneddol a chynaliadwy.

#4 - Community resources, service patterns, and show and tells - December’s digital news roundup

Helo bawb! Hi everyone!

As the year draws to a close, we’ve been taking time to reflect on what’s been a busy and energising year for Transform Wales. Much of the work has happened quietly in conversations, shared thinking and small steps forward, but it’s felt like a year of building real momentum.

We’ve captured some of those reflections in a new blog post, 2025: a year of building momentum.

We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported us this year by reading, sharing, challenging our thinking, showing up to events, and donating to our crowdfunder to help us print and share the report. Your support has made this work possible.

2026 Senedd election

With the Senedd election approaching, the next year matters. Decisions made now will shape how public services in Wales are funded, designed and delivered for the next decade.

If you care about the future of public services in Wales and feel that you can get involved, here are a few simple ways:

• Read and share the report and blog posts. Use them to start conversations in your teams, networks and organisations.

• Talk about digital and service design beyond “tech”. Ask questions about how services meet real needs, how decisions get made, and who is included and excluded.

• Join the conversation. Get involved in the Cymru Ddigidol community, attend events, or take part in open discussions like show and tells.

• Engage politically, in your own way. Ask candidates and parties what their plans are for public services, digital capability and long-term thinking in Wales.

• Stay connected. Follow our work, share feedback, and help us keep building this in the open.

Change won’t come from one organisation or one report. It will come from many people pulling in the same direction, over time.

This month’s digital news in Wales

Artificial intelligence in primary care
Dr Rebecca Payne, GP and Clinical Senior Lecturer at Bangor University and other authors discuss the growing use of AI in primary care. The paper shows that while AI tools could support diagnosis and reduce pressure on services, their real impact depends on how they are introduced into everyday clinical practice. Primary care is where trust, safety and access are most fragile, and AI must support clinical judgement and relationships, not cut across them.

Cymru Ddigidol website launches
Since GovCamp Cymru, Benjy Stanton, Monika Swiatek and Nia Campbell have been working on a community project to share digital resources in Wales. The website is now live, and they’d love to hear your thoughts and what else should be included.

The AI plan for Wales
Welsh Government sets out its AI Plan for Wales, describing how artificial intelligence should be developed and used in ethical, trustworthy ways that align with Welsh values. While the ambition is welcome, the plan leans heavily on future potential. AI will not fix underlying delivery, leadership or capability gaps on its own, and without stronger foundations in how public services work today, there is a real risk that AI adds complexity rather than improving outcomes.

StatsWales reimagined
Stephanie Howarth, Chief Statistician at Welsh Government explains the work to rebuild and relaunch the StatsWales website in beta, with a focus on making Welsh statistics easier to find, use and share. StatsWales underpins evidence-based decisions across Wales, and a clearer, more usable data service helps everyone from analysts to the public get to the right insight faster.

Y Pumed Llawr live
Senedd member Lee Waters discusses devolved government and how Wales’ political system works in practice, in a live “Fifth Floor” event. Many public service “digital” blockers are political and structural, and understanding the system helps teams choose tactics that are realistic (and know where influence actually sits).

Show and tells build trust
Joshua Hunt, Head of Agile Delivery at Digital Health and Care Wales explains how vaccination show and tells helped build trust, shared understanding and momentum across organisations. Regular, open show and tells are a practical way to reduce duplication, surface delivery risks early, and help teams learn together in complex, multi-partner services.

Service pattern library launches
The Centre for Digital Public Services launched a service pattern library, offering practical, reusable solutions to common problems like applying, booking or paying. It helps teams design digital services that are faster to build, easier to use, and accessible in both Welsh and English.

A decade of difference
Rob Thomas, Chief Executive at Vale of Glamorgan Council and Tom Bowring, Director of Corporate Resources reflect on ten years of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and what it has changed in practice. It highlights the gap between long-term ambition and day-to-day decision-making, and what local government leaders need to do differently to turn the Act into real, sustained change.
