#5 - Patrymau gwasanaeth, ymchwil Cymraeg a phroblemau sy’n werth eu datrys

Gobeithio bod 2026 wedi dechrau’n dda hyd yma.

Rydym eisoes wedi bod yn brysur yma yn Trawsnewid Cymru.

Yn gynharach y mis hwn, fe wnaethom gyhoeddi post ar yr hyn rydym yn disgwyl ei weld ar gyfer cyflwyno digidol yn Llywodraeth Cymru. Mae wedi bod yn fisoedd ers iddynt gyhoeddi y byddai Canolfan Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Digidol (CDPS) yn cael ei hymgorffori, ac nid oes unrhyw newyddion cyhoeddus eto am beth mae’r newid hwn yn ei olygu yn ymarferol.

Mae hyn yn bwysig. Mae Llywodraeth Cymru a CDPS yn cael eu hariannu gan arian cyhoeddus, felly dylid gwneud y penderfyniadau hyn yn agored, nid y tu ôl i ddrysau caeedig.

Yn yr un modd, ysgrifennodd Jo bost manwl ar weithio’n agored ar gyfer arweinwyr.

Mae llawer o arweinwyr yng Nghymru sy’n atebol am ganlyniadau, risg ac arian cyhoeddus yn dal i arwain gyda golwg yn ôl: adrodd, deciau sleidiau, papurau llywodraethu. Naratif caboledig. Ac yna’r datgeliad mawr, unwaith y bydd y gwaith eisoes wedi caledu.

Mae gweithio’n agored yn ymwneud â gwneud gwaith yn weladwy wrth iddo ddigwydd, drwy ddiweddariadau bach, hawdd eu deall, sy’n cynnwys beth sy’n mynd yn dda, beth sy’n newid, a beth sydd wedi’i ddysgu.

Dyma sut rydym yn torri’r cylch o wneud yr un camgymeriadau dro ar ôl tro. Dyma sut rydym yn adeiladu ymddiriedaeth mewn gwasanaethau cyhoeddus. Dyma sut rydym yn sicrhau bod pobl yn atebol.

Pam mae profi gyda defnyddwyr Cymraeg yn bwysig
Mae Cath, uwch ymchwilydd defnyddwyr Awdurdod Cyllid Cymru, yn esbonio pam mae ymchwil defnyddwyr yn y Gymraeg yn hanfodol i ansawdd gwasanaethau. Mae’n dangos sut mae profi gyda defnyddwyr Cymraeg yn gwella eglurder, hyder ac ymddiriedaeth mewn gwasanaethau dwyieithog.

Sut bu Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru yn gweithio gyda CDPS ar batrymau gwasanaeth
Mae tîm Gofal Cymdeithasol Cymru yn rhannu’r hyn a ddysgwyd o brofi patrwm gwasanaeth ar eu gwasanaeth “Gwneud cais i fod yn weithiwr gofal cymdeithasol”, gyda chefnogaeth Canolfan Gwasanaethau Cyhoeddus Digidol. Mae’r post yn egluro sut helpodd gweithio gyda phatrymau’r tîm i fapio’r daith, gwella eglurder ar gymhwystra a’r camau nesaf, ac adeiladu ffyrdd ailadroddadwy o weithio ar gyfer eu Rhaglen Trawsnewid Cofrestru.

Mae Canolfan Polisi Cyhoeddus Cymru a Sefydliad Materion Cymreig yn cynnal cyfres weminar ar y cyd cyn yr etholiad. Nod y sesiynau yw cefnogi trafodaeth wybodus ar heriau polisi hirdymor Cymru.

#5 - Service patterns, Welsh language research and problems worth solving

We hope 2026 is off to a good start so far.

We’ve already been busy here at Transform Wales.

Earlier this month, we published a post on what we expect to see for digital delivery in Welsh Government. It’s been months since they announced that the Centre for Digital Public Services (CDPS) would be absorbed, and there has been no public news on what this change means in practice.

This matters. Welsh Government and CDPS are funded by public money, so these decisions should be made in public, not behind closed doors.

On a similar note, Jo wrote a detailed post on working in the open for leaders.

Many leaders accountable for outcomes, risk and public money in Wales still lead with hindsight: reporting, slide decks, governance papers. A polished narrative. And then the big reveal, once the work has already hardened.

Working in the open is about making work visible as it happens, in small, digestible updates that include what’s going well, what’s changing, and what’s been learned.

This is how we stop the cycle of making the same mistakes. This is how we build trust in public services. This is how we hold people accountable.
