a Postcard from Paris in spring-mode
Hello friend,
I hope you’re doing well.
Spring has arrived in Paris and hey, it’s the sun. All of the benches in my neighborhood seem to be occupied by people engrossed in crossword puzzles and newspapers. Paper versions, too. I like that about France.
I am not on a sunny bench but on my couch, with a touch of overwhelm at not having figured out a measured pace to share news. I have so many projects on the grill. Please expect more Postcards in the coming months…! I’m hitting the road on Monday so the next one will be from not-my-couch, even.
Today, I want to tell you about my coaching practice.
I spent a big part of my 2021 in a coach training program—the biggest commitment I’ve made to structured learning since graduating university. What I had the opportunity to learn—what I now cannot unsee—was marvellous, changing how I relate to the world.
It also kicked my ass. There were scary-long stretches of self-doubt, being aghast at all that I didn’t feel I could do. The commitment of my peers to their own practices, the tough love from my mentors, and the resourcefulness of my clients helped me get out of my head. I am in the arena, still getting my ass kicked because #humans AND with wide-eyed excitement about what lies ahead.
I’m teaming up with my friend Oriana LaVilla to launch a group coaching program about emotions in the workplace—exploring what becomes possible when we develop our understanding of how moods and emotions affect who we are at work. It will be a 6-week program, convening for one hour each week.
Does that sound like something you might be interested in joining? If so, please help us prioritize the topics by answering this 5min questionnaire.
I also have two slots for 1-1 coaching opening up from mid-April. These are weekly 50min session in a 6-week arc, on topics of your choosing. If you’re wanting to make changes but finding it hard to hear yourself think, this support structure could be the unlock you need. Shoot over a few lines about what’s on your mind, to see what we might work out!
What’s an update without celebrating projects by friends?

This is the end of this Postcard. As usual, hit reply to say hi back and maybe a photo from your phone? I’d love to hear from you.
Have a great weekend.
