Segue to music

You probably know I’m a fan of “unconventional _____” type music, among all the other genres I welcome into my home. Haha. For example, I have an “unconventional lullabies” playlist of songs I would sing to Elizabeth at bedtime when she was ~2-6 months old.

Today, I’m going to share a playlist with you that falls into “Unconventional Christmas Music”. This week’s sub-genre: Trap. I’ve been enjoying these silly, bass-heavy remixes of Christmas songs.

You can’t think too much about it. Just find a way to dance along and you’ll enjoy it.

• Hank Green ranting about the alphabet resonated with me. I never thought much about the pronounciation of letters, but I agree about tossing some of them. The only thing he left out: I think “C” should be left out as well.
• Dave Grohl simultaneously playing drums and singing Beastie Boy’s “Sabatage”. Don’t miss that stick-drop-recovery. (This is apparently part of a series for Hanukkah, so stay tuned over there!)
• I’ve mentioned “professional tag” is a thing to a few folks recently. And boom: Vox is here to get you up to speed on “How tag became a professional sport. I’m pretty sure I know someone who’s competed.
• Doh! Two Hank Green videos? This one is an “unconventional” Christmas story: The Christmas Creature. Great if you’re into the creepy stuff, which I know some of you are. 😆

Have you ever proactively tried to increase your typing speed from where it is/was?

We’ve been saying “Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas!”. Elizabeth tries to repeat this with a “Ho, ho, ho!” and I can tell she’s trying to lower her register. It’s hilarious.
