👋🏼 This is Tommy!

An Email Experiment

I read once that the open rate for emails with “this” in the subject line is always super high. So there you go!

Hope you’re well!

The girl

It’s been so incredibly long. There was even a draft that never got sent, with a lot about Elizabeth being 3 years old. 😅

She’s four now. 😬

It’s amazing. She’s a “four-nado” (tornado! FOURnado! Get it?!).

The biggest brand for her right now is Paw Patrol.

She wants to run a wrecking ball when she grows up. 🦺 😅

Patterns

It’s December, and I recently learned something about myself.

I was thinking of spending some time doing some extra consulting, outside of my normal work. So I cracked open my little ideas doc… and realized I have a pattern of doing this almost every December. 😅😅

Hyperfixation

So it shouldn’t be a surprise: my current “deep dive” interest is absorbing a lot of content to be up to date on digital marketing stuff. Also revisiting a few little “SaaS” (web app) ideas, and considering what I might build over the next few weekends.

Music

Mine

  • Tinkering with a new project for a very Tommy George brand of “sleep music”. You can hear some demo clips here. https://audio.psalm1000.com/artists/3/
  • It’s December! Did you remember that I’ve released some “Christmas music” w/ the Cuatro Cuatro Cero project? Everywhere you listen to music. You can start here, if you’re not sure where to find it: https://www.tommygeorge.com/ccc/

Theirs

  • “What was I made for?” by Billie Eilish. When I first heard this, it was absolutely through a “Christian view” lense, and I found it very moving. Similar to when I first heard “The Fear” by Lily Allen. Both very worth listening to.
  • “Heard That Sound” by MxPx. Find the remixed version from the live recording with Five Iron Frenzy. The horn parts make it amazing.

Anticipation

  • Hellloooooo, it’s Christmas-time! No time to write it all out at the moment, but TIS THE SEASON! And we have a 4-year-old this time around!
  • Have already secured tickets to see Cory Wong live, again.

In conclusion

I really just wanted to send something quick. Apologies where it was vague.

What are you anticipating?
