October 18 in Brooklyn: Whispered Awakening Live in Concert!
Hello Friends,
As October arrives, I wanted to send a quick reminder about the upcoming performance on Sunday, October 18th at the Old Stone House in Brooklyn.

Since its May 1st release and the spring concerts, the pieces on Whispered Awakening have continued to deepen for me. I've come to understand the stories they have to tell a little more — with some help from members of my audience, who've shared how hearing a certain piece evoked memories of their own.
This will be only the second full concert presentation of Whispered Awakening in Brooklyn since last spring. There is something about playing this music in a room with others — the stillness, the presence — that allows the pieces to take on a different life than they do in the recording studio.
Joining me on some of the pieces will be long-term colleagues Urbano Sanchez on cajón and Barry Kornhauser on cello. I'm looking forward to the experience, and to sharing these works with you.
Date: Sunday, October 18
Time: Doors open at 3:30 PM. Concert begins at 4 PM.
Location: The Old Stone House of Brooklyn
336 3rd Street
Brooklyn, NY 11215
Tickets here or at the door.
Physical CDs will be available for sale at the concert. If you're unable to make it to a live show and would like to support, you can purchase Whispered Awakening on Bandcamp (physical CD & digital options).
Thank you, as always, for listening.
Warmly,
Tomas
P.S. — If you're around Kensington neighborhood on Saturday, October 10th, I'll be playing a free outdoor set at 3:30 with the full band (Urbano Sanchez, Sam Barrios, Donald Nicks) as part of the Music in the Plaza Open Streets series.
