Together, We Hear the Music is a newsletter from me, Dean P. Simmer, about music, history, and the ties that bind us together. A bit of bar trivia, a bit of historical research, and something musical worth listening to along the way.

I suppose, by definition, I am many things, but the motivation for this project is my passion for music, history, and culture, and how they move my soul. I realized I wanted to do this project after spending an inordinate amount of time evangelizing every person I know about the 1980s movie Streets of Fire, thanks to learning about it via Rolling Stone's Best Songs by Fake Artists write-up.

Sometimes fun, sometimes moving, never uninteresting. That's my goal here!
