Good morning. Today is Tuesday, June 10, 2025. 

I enjoy music trivia, especially from the Fifties. It was a productive era, particularly for Rock ’n Roll, 

In 1958, singer Tommy Edwards recorded a pop song called “It's All in the Game." The single sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide and earned Edwards a gold disc. It’s one of the few number-one songs to reach the top 30 three times. The lyrics were composed in 1951 to a wordless 1911 composition titled “Melody in A Major,” written by Charles G. Dawes.

Dawes later became Vice President of the United States under Calvin Coolidge. “All in the Game” is the only No. 1 single to have been co-written by a U.S. Vice President or a Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Dawes was both.
