One-time lawman turned outlaw Tom Horn won the admiration of some who turned out for his hanging, observing that Horn was the calmest man on the platform. "The Day Tom Horn Hanged."

Wyoming Governor W.A. Richards once described Tom Horn as a "cool devil." The remark followed his meeting with Horn to discuss exterminating cattle rustlers from Big Horn County. "The Enforcer."
