Special issue #11
I’m gonna be real with you, fam. I do not have a ton of time, energy, or brain power to write a special newsletter for this month. I’ve got too much to do with this new book coming out next month.
Like a lot of people, I am waking up every day to find the worst thing I’ve ever seen in the news. And then I am waking up the next day to find a new worst thing, and so on and so forth. America has always been a shitshow if we’re being truly historically accurate (the theme of this newsletter!) and my country is really speedrunning it lately. Let’s be super clear: abolishing ICE is step 1 of perhaps 10,000 steps. If you’re looking for ways to help, you can call your reps, donate to mutual aid efforts, and find out which of your local orgs need your support, but you don’t need me to tell you that.
For now, I would like to share with you an essay I wrote prior to the release of A Gentleman’s Gentleman that never found a home. Reduce, reuse, recycle. Enjoy.
