Cover Reveal: UK Edition

alt text

The cover for The Earl Meets His Match by TJ Alexander. Text reads: It's the perfect season for coming out... Courtney Kae: 'TJ Alexander's writing is a feast for the senses.' Martha Waters: 'Beautiful and wonderfully queer.' The cover is hot pink with yellow and white text. An illustrated peacock sits on the title shedding feathers. Two illustrated men in Regency clothes are holding hands. One is blond, wearing a blue coat, facing outward. The other is dark-haired, wearing a purple coat with blue trim, and has his back to us, looking over his shoulder.

It’s with great pleasure that I reveal the UK cover for The Earl Meets His Match (titled A Gentleman’s Gentleman in the US).

Obviously HarperCollins UK went in a VERY different direction from Vintage’s US version. These kinds of decisions are above my pay grade. For me to contemplate the reasons would be to wander the moors in a mysterious fog. Don’t ask me; I’m just a little guy.

Personally, I find it very funny that my trans man Regency romance about an earl who’s obsessed with his appearance gets two distinct lewks. Lord Eden would, I think, approve. (“On Wednesdays, my dear man, we wear pink,” etc.)

If you’re in the UK you can preorder online or at your local bookshop. If you’re not in the UK and need this edition in your life, I have had great success ordering British books from Blackwells.

December marks the start of the holiday season for many. I’d love to take this time to show off my dearest child, my elder millennial Christmas romcom, Second Chances in New Port Stephen. If you haven’t gotten around to checking it out, now is a good time to join Eli as he goes back to his south Florida hometown for the first time since his transition, only to reconnect with his high school boyfriend and current hot single dad, Nick. As a Floridian and lover of beachy winters, I put so much of myself into this book. I hope it brings you some coziness and laughs if that’s what you need right now. And as a reminder, you can order signed copies of any of my books at my local indie.

Thanks for reading!
