What I would really like to be writing right now is an essay about the dual phenomenon of 1. white cis women voting for Trump in increasing numbers and 2. other white cis women becoming incredibly aggrieved when you point this out: why it happens, what it indicates about the structures that delineate whiteness and cisness and womanhood, and (as usual) how it fits into a trans framework. I would also love to be writing an essay about why trans people are Like This when it comes to U.S. politics, which is to say generally disillusioned to the point of nihilism. (With some exceptions, of course.)
However I cannot do either of these things because we are now entering ELECTION WEEKEND and all of my brain cells have been running screme.exe for a week straight, rendering them totally useless for any other purpose. So here we are again! Hopefully this is the last one of these lol HA HA HA Jesus CHRIST.
Honestly I almost sent out an otherwise blank newsletter with only this embedded because it made my brain pop like an overfilled water balloon.

I think this election has gone on for long enough that we’re all completely desensitized to political memes and finally I can post this one, which I’ve been saving for years and years for an opportunity just like this:

I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do if this goes on any longer, since I’m almost out of memes. I have maybe one day’s worth left. I’ve given it some thought and here are the options:
I’m just going to start making extremely niche memes about my own life and you’re going to get an inbox full of them on Monday.
I’m just going to call the race myself.
Maybe both?
