Tomatoes starts & more
Hello!
We’re back this weekend with more greens — bok choy and baby bok choy, to be specific. I’ve found this succession of bok choy to be especially mild, and we’ve been chopping it up raw for salads for much of this past week. It pairs nicely with this ginger-carrot dressing that Steven has made a few times.
Even more exciting than bok choy salad, though, is that we now have eight varieties of tomato starts in the farmstand. We have four different shapes and colors of cherry tomatoes, including stupice and sungold tomatoes. We also have three medium-sized varieties ranging in taste from slightly tart (tigerella) to very sweet (momotaro), as well as a gorgeous hefty heirloom variety (Cherokee purple). The price is $5 per start.
I started our tomatoes in the greenhouse in February and potted them up last month. They’ve looked happy the whole time, and are now ready to go to good homes.

A sneak peak at next weekend: We’ll have gailan, a.k.a Chinese broccoli, and komatsuna will be back after recovering from an extremely hard harvest for a food bank order.
Finally, during this early season, the farmstand is stocked on Friday mornings and refreshed as needed throughout the week.
Thank you for supporting Tian Tian Farm! Hope to see you at the stand soon.
