Kimchi & lots of greens
Hello everyone,
Last week, I noticed that our baby bok choy was starting to bolt — that is, go to seed, beginning by sending up a tiny bud from its center. Although the bok choy is still good for some time, the leaves start to shrink and the plant acquires a clear expiration date. I had just stocked the farmstand; what could I do with so much just-past-its-prime baby bok choy? Then, luckily for all of us, I remembered that Steven loves making kimchi.
So this week in the farmstand, we have:
Steven’s homemade kimchi
Bok choy
Komatsuna
Komatsuna raab (some of our komatsuna is also starting to bolt, and the flowering center stalks are at the perfectly sweet and tender right now)
Daikon
Cilantro
Gailan
Tomato starts

On a different note, apologies in advance for any difficulties with parking. We had a bulk delivery of amendments yesterday and the only place it could go was the parking area. Hopefully the space will be clear by the end of Saturday.
Thanks for supporting our farm!
